The Arizona Life Settlement Broker license
Life Settlement Broker
Negotiates the sale of a life policy for the owner, and owes that owner a fiduciary duty. In Arizona it is an authority added to a life producer license rather than a license of its own, and it is priced by how long that license has left to run.

an Arizona life insurance producer license, held by the individual or by the business entity acting as broker
The Department states the whole qualification in one sentence: to act as a life settlement broker you must hold an Arizona life insurance producer license and notify the Department on Form L-LSB within the first thirty days of operating as a broker. No separate examination and no course. What is unusual is the price, which is charged for the authority rather than for a license and is set by the calendar rather than by the work: $500 if the underlying Arizona license expires in two years or more, $250 if it expires in less than two. The same figure turns up as an add-on to the adjuster fee, where renewing life settlement broker authority alongside an adjuster license adds $500. Continuing education is the life producer's own, forty-eight hours including six of ethics for a resident, with nothing extra for the broker authority.

No national seller sells a course for this license. There is no separate examination and no course: the qualification is an Arizona life producer license plus a Form L-LSB notice. Everything sellers carry for the underlying license is on the Life page.
